Teachers are incredibly important – they help raise our children and help them become adults and grow up.

Compassionate and effective teachers who bond well with their pupils can most definitely have a more long-term impact on the kids.

At a young age and in kindergarten, teachers are likely even more important.

After all, it’s no secret that little ones can be very impressionable, and they’re also extremely curious. They observe whatever they see around them in their environment, good or bad, and will sometimes copy that exact behavior.

Because of this, it’s so, so important to have positive role models in their early life, especially in their childhood education. Kindergarten may seem unimportant compared to elementary school because the actual learning only starts there, but the reality is often a very different story.

A lot of experiences in the kindergarten class can have a lasting impact on the rest of their lives and academic careers.

When you have an excellent teacher to guide you through all of that, that’s just immeasurable.

Athena Career Academy, a website and expert-based community for current and aspiring teachers, has the following to say about kindergarteners.

“While it may be more difficult to connect with older students, kindergarteners tend to have a great deal of love, respect, and admiration for their teacher. They are also eager to please and like to make their teacher proud of them, so they work hard to accomplish their goals in hopes of obtaining praise and approval, making them model students for the most part,” their website states.

They certainly don’t undervalue the importance of a good kindergarten educator.

“While teaching is a highly rewarding and fulfilling profession no matter which grade level you teach, a kindergarten teacher is the true head of the class.”

One of those amazing and caring kindergarten teachers is Serine Klint, who is adored by her young students and their parents alike.

Of course, in times like these, a familiar environment such as kindergarten has almost completely been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. This was such a difficult thing to grasp and understand for us adults – let alone how weird it must be for a bunch of five-year-old little ones.

The young students of Serine at the Mill Creek Elementary School were extremely sad that they wouldn’t be able to go back to school anymore due to the various coronavirus measures and stay-at-home orders at the beginning.

They’d miss seeing their friends and hanging out in their classroom, but most of all, they’d miss their teacher.

Every day, parents were asked the question when they would see Mrs. Klint again.

McKenzie Bovie, one of her students, was constantly wondering when she’d see her favorite teacher again.

It’s clear that she absolutely adores Mrs. Klint, and the five-year-old girl even said that “she puts a little sparkle on each kid” and that’s she’s absolutely “the best teacher in the entire world” in an interview with WGN9.

McKenzie’s parents got in touch with the other parents of the class, and together they orchestrated an amazing and touching surprise.

All of the parents were chauffeurs for the children, and they formed a line-up of no less than 27 vehicles to keep the social distancing. The whole convoy then headed towards Mrs. Klint’s home to show their appreciation and love for this amazing teacher.

As for Mrs. Klint herself, she was absolutely flabbergasted and couldn’t believe what she was seeing!

“She [McKenzie’s mother] sent me a text saying ‘I need you to come out to the driveway right now.’ Then all of a sudden there’s 20 cars flying down the street beeping horns and screaming,” the teacher recalls.

Of course, the kids didn’t come empty-handed. They came bearing gifts, pictures, drawings, and candy. Mrs. Klint couldn’t hold it all in her hands anymore!

“I was overwhelmed. I started crying. I was shaking. It touched my heart more than anything in the whole wide world,” she said to WGN9.
