Do you ever picture yourself living in the countryside? Being away from the hustle and bustle of the city and being able to enjoy the fresh air and the calm surroundings?
Yes, that’s something that most of us want to do. Don’t you want to be able to enjoy living in the countryside, and see your children appreciate the vast playground that they have?
And if they’re lucky, they might find themselves a friend from nature, like a deer, for example.
We often see deer in documentaries, magazines, and even wildlife photography, and no doubt, these animals are majestic!
However, we also know how to practice caution when it comes to dealing with wildlife animals.
A doe, for example, is very protective of her young. That is why we should never attempt to approach them without proper knowledge of how they act. But a baby deer, like our children, are playful, curious, and friendly.
Five years ago, a video that was uploaded on YouTube that captured many hearts.
It’s about an unexpected meeting of two beautiful souls.
A toddler and a calf
The video that gained millions of views starts as we see a toddler enjoying her afternoon stroll on the grass.
She’s exploring everything, and she’s having so much fun when suddenly, she sees something that catches her attention.
The toddler saw a calf, a baby deer, which was also seemingly doing the same thing as she was. Then, the young deer saw the toddler too, and for a moment, they gazed at each other.
As soon as the toddler’s parents saw this, they zoomed the camera to get a better view.
Their little daughter started going towards the baby deer, and you can see her excitement.
Now, what’s surprising is that instead of running away, the deer stayed and even bobbed its head!
As if giving the toddler permission to play with her, and true enough, the toddler and baby deer met and it was an instant connection!
The scene was so beautiful!
As you can see in the video, the baby deer was also happy to see the toddler – she wanted to play as well. She slowly gets closer to the young child, as if asking her to play.
The toddler remained calm. Unlike other kids, a deer this close would already make some toddlers run away or cry, but not this little miss.
She’s in tune with nature, and she knew how to be gentle as well.
The girl then slowly walked over and started petting the beautiful animal.
This is beyond rare. It is one thing for a wild animal (especially a skittish animal like a deer) to come close to a human being. But to allow a human to actually pet them? It’s more or less unheard of.
That is what makes the video of this beautifully serene moment so incredibly captivating. It’s just something you don’t see normally, if ever at all.
Her touch was so gentle that the baby deer didn’t mind at all. In fact, the little deer continued to graze and was happy with her new friend.
The video ends as the toddler was touching the baby deer.
A friendship was formed and it couldn’t be more beautiful. This picture-perfect scene would be a great idea for a photo-shoot, a magazine cover, or even a painting.
