Man catches his wife dancing in the kitchen while she thinks she’s alone
Her reaction when she realizes she’s being filmed is priceless. 😂

There’s singing in the shower and then there’s dancing in the kitchen. They both are activities people mostly do when they think nobody’s around and they both offer the same benefits: escaping reality for a while.

As kids, we all used to love music and we were ready to dance wherever we were if a catchy song happened to be playing. Arms, legs, and head, the whole body got involved in the silly dances we put together as young children.

Of course, as time went by, we started feeling more body-conscious and became more reserved- especially in front of others. We don’t laugh as loudly anymore, we don’t touch others as much, we don’t dance.

As artist, author, and speaker Jason Kotecki wrote in a blog post, there might be a number of reasons why people stop dancing as they grow up.

“Maybe we started worrying about looking foolish.

Maybe we’ve discovered that the world isn’t as carefree as thought it was.

Maybe we are afraid of pulling something.”

And they all sound pretty legit.

As he explains, kitchen dancing only requires you to move- nothing more than that, no skills no fuss. Just dance to the beat and feel better through it.

Similarly, freelance writer and stay-at-home-mom Angela Youngblood, says she hasn’t stopped kitchen dancing for and with her kids since they were little. She has found that, although dancing doesn’t fix any problems, it can certainly help you escape from them for a while.

“Dancing is my reset button, my bucket-filler, my balancer, my escape, my reminder of how something as simple as moving to a good beat in my kitchen can make me feel so much better,” she writes.

It seems that Aaron Simpson’s wife felt the same need to unplug just for a while a few years back, when she was caught kitchen dancing by her husband.

As you can see in the video below, Aaron is filming her while she’s dancing to the sounds of “Do You Love Me” by The Contours in their kitchen.

The young woman is wearing casual clothes and she has tied her hair up in a bun, and she’s just looking at cookbooks, probably looking for a recipe. Although she probably has a lot to do, she can’t resist the temptation of dancing to the upbeat song and, judging by her move’s she’s totally feeling it!

The video is short, but we can definitely see the woman is really relaxing through dancing. Her husband is approaching her with the camera and she has no idea she’s being filmed.

When she turns around and sees him, she’s really embarrassed. So much so that she rushes behind the counter saying “That was horrible”!

Of course, more than 14 million YouTube users who watched the video wouldn’t agree. On the contrary, they found it really interesting to watch.

Judging by the 122k upvotes this video got, the woman’s dance was far from horrible!

“She was literally dancing like nobody was watching,” a viewer wrote, while someone else commented: “Well…I see why you fell in love and married her. For her mashed potatoes.”

This woman is extra proof that sometimes you need to let off and do something just to feel better. If we all did, we would probably be so much happier!
