A lot of people struggle to lose weight. They try working out, dieting, and all kinds of weight loss products but never get the results they want. Many people get frustrated and give up or lose weight but then gain it right back. What if it was as easy as three simple steps?
Anja Taylor had gained 100 pounds in a year, and she was desperate to get that weight off.
Like most people, she had tried a lot of different things. She was suffering with knee problems and even menstrual problems because of her weight gain, and she was ready to get back in shape.
“I just knew I was unhealthy.”
She explained that after moving out she was able to eat anything and didn’t even realize she had put on so much weight. By the time she did realize it, it was too late, and she had already gained 100 pounds. She wasn’t planning on staying overweight. Still, she knew there would be challenges, and she had to find a way to lose weight that worked for her.
She continued:
“When your health is not good, it is really hard to get to the gym. To push your body in the gym is even more difficult than people think. I have full-time school and work, so I am unable to meal prep. The meal plans offer me variety.”
One she started losing some of the weight, she found it easier to be more active and exercise more.
She added:
“I am grateful my body is able to perform physically. Prior to losing weight, I was trapped in my own body. I don’t view working out as a chore, but rather a gift and blessing. I gained about 20 pounds back. I put a lot of pressure on myself because of the weight gain. There are many challenges life throws at you, so it is really hard. You have to overcome that.”
She also shared the three easy steps she followed to lose the weight.
- Find something you love.
- Set reasonable goals.
- Have a buddy.
She went on to explain the process:
“I was not a fitness fan. I didn’t understand it. If you are not having fun, you are going to get burned out. In previous attempts, I always thought of the big number. I focused just on that month. Have somebody hold you accountable. “
In the end, Anja found that she enjoyed going to her spin class, which made working out much easier.
Her meal plans allowed her to portion and plan better, and her friend helped motivate her and remind her to make good choices. She admits that it wasn’t always easy, but it was worth all the hard work.
She lost that 100 pounds in 10 months and is extremely happy with the way she looks. She is also a lot healthier and has more energy. She hopes that other people who read her story will be inspired and understand that anything is possible.
She is still working out and eating well, and she hopes to lose more weight and get in better shape.
Now that she knows she can do it, she is motivated to do even more. She wants to be happy and healthy, and she is on the right track for both.
