You likely have Listerine around the house that you use for dental and oral care. It turns out however, that Listerine contains alcohol and oils that can be great for a bunch of different uses around the house.

Relieve pain from bee stings
Bee stings or wasp stings are a huge pain, and can cause discomfort for a long time after the initial sting. The alcohol content inside Listerine can be great for pain relief though. Just grab a cotton ball and dab it into the Listerine and then apply it to the affected area.
Remove fungus from your house plants
If you notice mildew or mold growing in the soil of your plants, just mix together three parts of water with one part of Listerine and uses a spray bottle to apply it to your plants. Use the mixture once a week to spray at the base of the plant, near the soil.
Avoid a cut from becoming infected
If you or your kids expose themselves to a cut, it’s useful to apply to alcohol to the wound so that it doesn’t become infected. Sometimes you might not have rubbing alcohol around though, so if you have alcohol based mouthwash, it could work great as a replacement! Similar to treating bee stings, just dab a cotton ball into the mouthwash and rub it across the wound.
Clean your glass vases
If you love collected glass vases or any other type of glassware, Listerine can come in handy often. It actually works great to clean glass! All you have to do is grab some cloth and dab it with Listerine before cleaning your prized items!
Heal bruises faster
If you bruise easily, using mouthwash might be perfect for you! The Listerine will aid the flow of blood near the bruise and cause it to heal faster. Just apply some of the Listerine and your skin will be looking better in no time!
Sanitize your bathroom surfaces
The alcohol inside Listerine makes it a great way to kill bacteria around the house. The bathroom especially is a perfect place to put it to use. All you have to do is mix some Listerine into a cloth and wipe surfaces that you want to sanitize. You can also pour some of the Listerine into your toilet bowl and use a toilet brush for an extra scrubbing!
Use as deodorant
Pour Listerine onto a cotton ball and apply it under your arms. It’s a great way to remove the unwanted and smelly odors.
Remove germs from your toothbrush
Allowing germs and other bacteria to build up on your toothbrush seems counterintuitive. Luckily, all you have to do is soak the bristles of your toothbrush in your mouthwash to clean it. It also works as a wonderful way to improve your dental and oral care!
