In America, March is hailed as National Women’s History Month.
To celebrate, The TODAY Show picked a lady from the crowd and gave her a total makeover! It was just another sunny day in America—but for this particular girl, it turned into something special.
As the video kicks off, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager introduce the segment and explain what they’ll be doing.
Later on, they introduce the so-called dynamic duo of makeovers, Louis Licari and Jill Martin.
Licari is a TODAY contributor and a celebrity hairstylist to the stars, while Martin is also a TODAY contributor, author and certified fashionista. Together they do wonders for the show’s lucky chosen one.
In this video, the hosts scanned a crowd of university teens who dropped by in the plaza for one lucky winner.
The lucky winner that day was 19-year-old pre-med student from Colorado Springs, Colorado named Libby Acker.
She is a sophomore at Xavier University.
She yelled with joy when she got picked by Jill Martin out of the many people, both young and young at heart, who were in attendance at that day’s show.
Her friends and even the other participants were so happy about her fate—Acker was just in the vicinity because she wanted to cheer for her school’s basketball team!
As she explains in the clip, she was just enjoying her spring break with friends after a long and stressful academic year.
Libby is a tall girl with long natural brown curls, a very bright and cheerful young lady.
According to her, she hadn’t cut her hair since she was 14!
It was also revealed that wearing makeup wasn’t her thing either—in all, she felt confident about going for a natural look most of the time. Even so, she was open to whatever the hosts had in store for her.
In the video, she’s wearing her school uniform just like the other kids: a combination of plain gray shirts, a blue jacket and a white baseball cap.
With a pair of standard blue jeans and a pair of white sneakers, her look is complete. After taking it all in, the makeover wizards got to work!
After the makeover, her beauty stood out as she sported wavy blonde hair and some light makeup.
They also made her wear a white leather jacket and a pencil skirt, matched with very high stiletto heels to complete the look. Needless to say, Libby’s new look left her friends flabbergasted—everyone was completely in in awe of her beauty!
As soon as she came out, everyone rushed over to hug and squeeze her.
Without a doubt, Libby Acker is naturally beautiful inside and out—but this video gave her a new chance to experiment with a new style!
With a touch of glam, she went in the dressing room as one person and came out with an entirely new look. No matter what your preferences are, it never hurts to switch your look up to highlight your inner beauty and give your self-esteem a big boost! Her friends and the rest of America agreed: this was definitely a great look for her.
