Men and women all over the world face the enormous adversity that follows a cancer diagnosis. No matter how early the cancer may be found, the road to recovery is always an uphill battle.
Shannen Doherty is no stranger to this adversity. Diagnosed with breast cancer, Shannen recently learned the cancer has spread and made it’s way to her lymph nodes. The only way to stop it from causing more damage was to undergo a grueling chemotherapy treatment.
Shannen is strong, and to share her strength and assurance with other cancer patients, she began to document her battle with the disease through an assortment of pictures.
Shannen has made a career for herself being an actress, and she wants to show as many people as she can that cancer can effect anybody from any background.
Her goal is to prove that just as cancer can afflict any person, any person can fight back.
Using these pictures, Shannen hopes to show the world what the fight against cancer actually looks like, something a lot of people may not really have a lot of exposure to.
Although a lot of her pictures show how she can remain happy through these hard times, she always wants to be clear that the path to recovery is not an easy one, and this pain is often expressed in her incredible pictures.
Despite all the roadblocks and challenges, Shannen remains to stand tall and fight her cancer head on.
With the support of family members like her mother and husband, Shannen has remained strong and shows the world a real look into what cancer does to a person.
