Even though animals can’t talk, there’s absolutely no denying that animals can communicate with humans in plenty of other ways.

Pet owners will often know what their four-footer is thinking, and you don’t need words to feel a connection between humans and animals. Everybody can relate to this feeling, and it really makes us realize that some animals aren’t too different than ourselves.

Historically, the bond between humans and animals has always been quite important.

Building up relationships with animals is usually not that different from the way we build up relationships with humans – love, care, affection, understanding, and trust.

Essential pillars for two loved ones, for example, but that definitely applies to your animal best friends too.

A lot of animal species are extremely intelligent and will understand when you’re trying to convey emotions or feelings. Just take a look at therapy dogs, for example, who specialize in providing emotional support and warmth.

This little girl definitely knows what it feels like to have that special relationship with an animal- in this case, her training horse.

Meet Helena from Norway.

She loves horseback riding and spends a lot of time with her adorable training horse/pony Frimann. When you just take a look at how these two are interacting with each other, you can see what kind of trusting and comfortable relationship these two have with each other.

Furthermore, Frimann definitely knows if there’s something up with his human bestie- he has a ton of emotional intelligence that has now proven to be very useful.

Most people know learning how to jump horses, or “show jumping”, is actually extremely difficult.

It’s a popular sport for sure, but one that requires tons of practice, dedication, skill, and effort. The most important element, however, is probably the trust required between the rider and the horse – one mistake by either of them can ruin the show, or worse, end up in injuries.

Of course, that’s why there’s training, and it’s not uncommon for people to start show jumping at a rather young age, just like Helena.

She had been training for a long time, but sometimes, accidents just happen.

Luckily, most of them are harmless, just like this hilarious moment that was captured on camera for all of us to see.

The video starts with the adorable Helena on Frimann the pony, and they’re readying up for a couple of jumps and the first lap of an obstacle course. It’s just so sweet to see how these two interact with each other!

Frimann is headed towards the first jumping station, but then it becomes clear that Helena isn’t sitting securely on her seat.

She could barely hold on while Frimann was doing the first jump, and she looks like she’s trying to find her balance. Luckily, she restored it rather quickly after the first jump and knows she needs to hold on a bit tighter now.

However, on the second jump, Frimann accidentally clips the bars with his hooves, causing Helena to lose her balance.

The little girl slipped and actually fell forward, with her hands above her head and spread forward. Luckily, this wasn’t a dangerous or scary fall at all, the little girl was wearing a helmet and it didn’t hurt because of the small height difference with the ground.

However, the little girl was stuck and couldn’t move!

Granted, being upside down isn’t exactly helpful to orientate, but it seems like Frimann realizes that Helena found herself in quite the predicament.

The young horse then proceeded to give her just a small nudge.

Frimann provided her with just enough momentum to roll through and get up herself.

Frimann definitely made sure to do this as gently as possible, and it’s both amazing and heartwarming to see how caring and how intelligent this animal is.
