She definitely was a very special woman and was even a big fan of Instagram and social media in general, definitely not something you’d expect to see for someone of her age.
Frank Stallone, her son and Sylvester’s brother, revealed the tragic news on his own Instagram account.

“She was a remarkable woman working out everyday full of spunk and fearless,” her son Frank wrote in the image caption. “She died in her sleep as she had wished. It was hard not to like her, she was very eccentric and flamboyant person.”
Being born in 1921, Jackie has been through some of the most remarkable things in history.

As Frank mentions, his mom actually went through the prohibition period in the States, as well as the great depression. We also can’t forget the second World War, and it looked like her sons could talk about those experiences in her life for hours at a time.
“She was born on November 29th, 1921 in Washington DC, she lived through prohibition, the depression, and World War II. I would talk to her for hours about the ’20s ’30s and ’40s. It was a history lesson. Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died. She never wore a mask a true revolutionary gal.”

Over the years, Jackie was known for a lot of things. For example, did you know that she was actually a wrestling manager and promoter?
While wrestling has had its surges and downfalls of popularity in the past decades, it’s undeniable that Jackie made quite an impact on the industry as a whole.
She was one of the major faces of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) show that was broadcasted in the mid-1980s and even saw a recent revival thanks to a new Netflix show.
Angelina Altishin, better known under her ring name ‘Little Egypt’, was absolutely broken when she heard the news.
“Oh my heart broke hearing of the passing of #JackieStallone. 98 years young and was still doing Pilates when we last spoke,” she tweeted. “What a fire š„ she would lite inside me each time we connected. She wasnāt just the mother of @TheSlyStallone she was our good girl manager in #glow”
She also shared a recent video of Jackie and herself talking about the state of women’s wrestling today, and it was heartwarming to see how passionate she still is about it, all those years later.

Aside from her role in professional wrestling, she was also a known astrologer and even hosted her own fitness show.
If you take a quick glance at the remarkable woman’s Instagram profile, you’ll see that Jackie loved to move and stay fit, even at the age of 98 years old.
In 2005, she participated in the British version of Celebrity Big Brother.
She actually appeared in the reality tv show together with the ex-wife of Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Nielsen. After hearing the devastating news, Nielsen also posted a tribute to Jackie on her Instagram page.

The grandmother of seven children and great grandmother of three definitely didn’t get bored much in her life and knew how to keep herself busy.
“My brother Sylvester took care of her like a Queen for all of her life,” son Frank wrote. “I will never be able to call my mom again or have her yell at me why I never got married. But we all loved her and her spirit to survive and prevail. I’ll miss you always mommy.”
Rest in peace Jackie. An unforgettable woman who will be missed dearly.
