There is much to be grateful for. The pace of life can often prevent us from taking the time to stop and appreciate all the good that there is in the world around us, however.
Sometimes we should all take a moment to just stop and enjoy the simple things we may have grown to take for granted. We might even choose to do a bit of a happy dance when we do!
Kallayah Jones, a woman from Georgia, has now reminded many people to appreciate the good things in life.
Kallayah, like so many others, lost several jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was given a job interview at a sports bar and grill named The Spot and was evidently quite hopeful heading into it.
Despite having been through hard times as of late, Kallayah kept her positive spirit going.

She was happy to have the opportunity to interview for a new job and went into the meeting with a glowing, happy, disposition.
DaKara Spence was the hiring manager for the bar and was immediately drawn in by Kallayah’s positive spirit and attitude. She knew there was something special about this specific job-seeker. Dakara spoke with CBS about her interview with Kallaya,
“She had a great energy I felt it as soon as she walked in she seemed really positive,”
What DaKara didn’t know, however, was that Kallayah’s hardships included more than just unemployment.
Kallayah had actually been homeless for the last 2 years.
She wasn’t going to let that dampen her spirit or positive energy, though. Kallayah would bring a glowing and positive attitude into every day, no matter what life threw at her.
The bar’s hiring manager knew Kallayah would make a great employee and was impressed with her attitude and contagious spirit.
The interview went very well and Dakara could tell that Kallayah was ready for a new start. Dakara told Kallayah that they would be in contact with her in a few days.
Kallayah never could have imagined how much her life would change after walking out of those doors…
Kallayah, evidently feeling quite confident with how the interview went, left the bar feeling great. She didn’t just walk out into the parking lot, however.
Kallayah waited, looked around to see if she was alone, and then broke out into the happiest dance anyone could ever do.
What Kallayah didn’t know is that security cameras filmed her amazing happy dance!
Dakara had also seen Kallayah’s dance. She had been watching from the surveillance video. The bar’s hiring manager would later tell CBS,
“I called her phone and I said ‘I’m going to hire you’ and ‘I seen your happy dance so you can continue dancing’,”
“She was just screaming through the phone and it was just a beautiful moment for me.”
Dakara took to Instagram to post the adorable video along with the comment,
‘So I just hired this young girl and this was her response’
The video became a viral sensation. It has been viewed over a million times on Instagram.
Now, the hiring manager and the employee have appeared on talks shows such as The Ellen Degeneres Show and the Today Show, all because of Kallayah’s heartwarming happy dance.
Stories like this teach us that even though life sometimes throws obstacles in our way, there are wonderful things taking place all around us.
Sometimes we have to stop and appreciate them and on occasion, we can even break out into a happy dance.
