Gorillas are often referred to as gentle giants and they think, look, and act similar to us humans. In fact, most gorillas have a 98.3% similar genetic code with humans. They display human emotion and act as we do in many different situations.

Sometimes in the wrong circumstances, gorillas can be dangerous. Especially when they feel threatened. When you see this massive beast, you will understand why people stay clear.

Just recently, though, a gorilla from a sanctuary in Africa discovered a wild bush baby.

If you’ve never seen one, they are quite small, and this little guy fits right into the palm of the gorilla’s hand. But instead of getting violent, the brute took a liking to the little guy. The workers that saw the interaction first-hand decided to snap some photos of it. The duo is simply adorable!

The gorilla’s name is Bobo.

He is a Western Lowland Gorilla, and he was rescued by the Ape Action Africa group. They are a non-profit company dedicated to saving endangered animals, specifically, gorillas and chimpanzees. The group was formed in 1996 and have more work than they can keep up with.

Bobo finds new friends to play with every day, and his habitat has plenty of animals inside with him.

“On his morning checks, our gorilla caregiver discovered Bobo cradling a young, wild bush baby,” Ape Action Africa spokeswoman Elissa O’Sullivan mentioned to Bored Panda. “The bush baby showed no fear of Bobo, moving around his body and spending time hopping around in an open grassy area, before choosing to return to Bobo.”

The caregiver knew he had to save the interaction with a photo, so he pulled out his phone and snapped some pictures.

Bobo is the big dominant male in his posse.

There are three other females, and three other males, so he was the one who got to decide whether he would make his new best friend a part of the group or not.

The caregivers were astonished that the little guy was even near the large gorilla.

“Bush babies are usually nocturnal, so it is very rare to see one during the day. We have never witnessed a wild primate interacting with a rescued one at Mefou Sanctuary.”

Bobo’s friends laughed at the little animal, but pretty soon, they got to love the bush baby.

It’s a rare sight to see a young bush baby walk into an enclosure of animals that are way bigger than it is. The little guy struts around with complete confidence.

Bobo tried to keep his little friend a secret by hiding him, but he couldn’t keep them away for too long!

“Bobo’s group-mates were curious about the bush baby and hoped that he might share it with them, but Bobo kept the bush baby to himself.” Elissa mentioned.
