A lot of pet owners have an incredibly strong bond with their beloved four-footers, but canines are known to have extremely meaningful relationships with other four-footers as well.

It’s often said that two dog siblings will never forget each other, no matter how long they’ve been separated from each other. This heartwarming story is definitely a perfect example of that, as these two long-lost siblings were reunited by pure chance at the park.

When this woman was walking around with Dolly at the park, she immediately noticed how her pup seemed to gravitate towards another four-footer walking around.

Jessica Zic says that it was completely unexpected, and Dolly and the other four-footer were seemingly the best of friends within an instant.

To make things even more remarkable, this other dog was actually walking around on the other side of the park, but Dolly was determined to get over there. Once Jessica met the other pooch and the dog owner at the Centennial Park park in Nashville, she couldn’t help but notice something very special.

It was as if the other dog was a döppelganger of Dolly, because she looked extremely similar and almost identical, even.

These two adorable little golden doodles were the spitting image of each other. Becky Bird was the owner of the other furry four-footer, who was named Wally. Wally and his owner were actually going on quite the adventure together, taking a road trip from Chicago all the way to Florida, with a stop in Nashville.

It’s pure luck and coincidence that these two got to meet each other, and it didn’t take too long before Becky realized what was actually going on here.

It turns out that the woman actually recognized Dolly too! She recalls seeing a picture of her as a puppy, posted on Instagram.

She started to put things together and found an old post of Wally and Dolly. These two siblings were born months earlier in Wheaton, Missouri. They were separated at the age of just eight weeks old and were adopted into different families across states.

Jessica posted about the incredible encounter on her Facebook page, which was quickly seen by many dog lovers around the world.

“Christmas came early for Dolly this year🥰🎄🐶As we were walking in Centennial Park today we saw a puppy that looked remarkably similar to Dolly. When we got closer the dog’s owner recognized Dolly from Instagram — it was her brother Wally who was stopping in Nash on a road trip from Chicago to Florida! The puppies got to play together for the first time since they were 8 weeks old,” she wrote.

With their smartphones in hand, both of them shared some absolutely adorable and heartwarming footage for all of us to see.
