Golden Retrievers are known to be the ideal family pet, as they’re one of the most affectionate, friendly, and respectful dog breeds out there. They try and get along with everybody, and their adorable and sweet personalities will just make you fall in love with them every single day.

Aside from being quite smart, the breed is also known to be very intelligent.

Retrievers are beautiful, smart and most of all, incredibly loyal. It’s not hard to see why this breed is among the most popular in America when it comes to picking out a family dog.

Thanks to their social personality and very gentle nature, a golden retriever is an absolute joy to have in the house – even when you have little kids or other pets running around.

And to make things a little easier, Golden Retrievers are also very easy to train, are usually obedient, and have a good temperament.

They know how to relay their emotions to us owners, and they also realize when they did something wrong and have been a bit mischievous, for example.

This adorable dog recently committed a ‘crime’ and when he tries to apologize, it’ll just melt your heart.

The highly trainable aspect can definitely be seen in the following adorable video. Just look at how this Golden Retriever acts when mommy tells him that he can’t keep chewing on his sibling’s toys!

It’s not uncommon that sibling pets really don’t like it when everybody messes around with their own toys, and that seemed to be the case here as well.

Mommy grabbed her smartphone because she knew she was going to be in for a treat when she confronted him.

She filmed his entire reaction, and it’s just absolutely incredible to look at that sweet and guilty face.

“I didn’t do it, mommy!” he must’ve thought. Or at least, that’s probably what he’d say if dogs could talk.

It all started when the retriever and his sibling were both given a “chewy”.

However, it looks like this bad golden retriever actually stole his sibling’s chewy toy too.

Of course, mommy needed to make sure that things like this wouldn’t happen anymore – so she decided to have a heartfelt ‘talk’ with the four-footer.

“Do you understand when I’m talking to you?” the owner asked him.

The face he then makes really says more than a thousand words. What a cutie!

Then, mommy starts to recount the whole incident. She tells him that she gave him a “chewy”, but that he still felt like he had to steal the one that was actually meant for his sibling.

Then the most adorable thing ever happens. She asks him what he should say after taking away his sibling’s toy.

The retriever then heads to his sibling and starts giving him a hug by lifting his paws. It’s the most precious thing ever!
