This cockatoo definitely had everyone in the room cracking up when he decided to do a spot-on impression of a cat, and it was absolutely hilarious.
The bond between animals and their owners is one that is very hard to describe with words. They try to fit in and befriend us, and will also do their absolute best to try and communicate with us.
It’s not uncommon for dogs, for example, to copy human behavior just to try and fit in. They do it to get the feeling that they belong.
Sometimes, animals want to fit in with other animal species as well, and that’s probably why this cockatoo was inspired to act like a cat.
Birds are generally very smart, and the cockatoo, in particular, is considered to be one of the most intelligent birds in the world. If you hand them puzzles, chances are that they’ll be able to solve it.

One family with a cockatoo decided to upload a video on YouTube, where we can clearly see this hilarious cat imitation.
The family has a lot of pets at home, and this cockatoo definitely tries its best to mimic the other pets. In particular, the bird tries to make the others believe that he can be a convincing feline.
Of course, what better way to try and fit in, than by mimicking them? These birds have a natural ability to copy and reproduce all kinds of different noises, and it obviously makes the cat imitation a lot easier.
“In the wild, parrots use their vocal prowess to share important information and fit in with the flock,” expert and Harvard lecturer Irene Pepperberg said to Audubon.
The loveable bird starts walking towards the cats, and then he lets his hilarious feline impression do the rest.
If you close your eyes, you can’t even tell the difference between all the meows!
It’s a particularly impressive feline impression, and it also seems to have an effect on the cats. They’re completely confused and don’t understand how this bird is able to reproduce their iconic meows.
