If there is one all-purpose item you’ll want to keep in your home, you’d probably want to go with baking soda.

Baking soda is incredibly versatile.
According to The Spruce Eats, baking soda is an alkaline compound that produces carbon dioxide gas when combined with an acid, such as vinegar or lemon juice.
This reaction is helpful when cooking, as it helps to leaven things like dough or fried foods. Baking soda is also great for absorbing odors and its scrubbing abilities.

1) Relieve Razor Burn
Razor burn can be super uncomfortable and leave you with bumpy red irritated skin.
Get some relief by mixing some baking soda and water. Dab this mixture with a cotton ball and apply it to the affected area.
2) Clean Wall Scuffs
Whether it’s a crayon or some unidentified markings, you might be able to get those scuffs off your wall with some baking soda.
Dampen a sponge and sprinkle some baking soda on it. Use your sponge to scrub away any crayon or scuff marks.
3) Eliminate Foot Odor
Got some stinky ass feet? Baking soda can help with that!
Just soak those stinkers in some baking soda and water to draw the stench out of your feet.
You’ll also want to sprinkle some baking soda in your shoes and let it sit overnight to absorb excess moisture and smell.
4) Remove Water Rings
Did someone forget to use a coaster? No matter!
Just make a paste from baking soda and water and use a soft cloth to buff out those water rings using a circular motion.
5) Clean Stuffed Animals
Stuffed animals. can get really nasty over time if they aren’t machine washable.
Sanitize your kid’s favorite toy by placing it in a plastic bag with baking soda and closing the bag.
Shake the bag so that the baking soda completely covers the toy. When you’re done, take the stuffed animal out and vacuum the rest of the baking soda off.
6) Alleviate Canker Sores
Baking soda can help relieve your canker sores using two methods.
You can apply some baking soda directly to the sore or rinse your mouth with a solution of baking soda and water.
7) DIY Acne Relieving Face Mask
Baking soda has anti-inflammatory properties that will dry up your acne.
Mix baking soda, water, and lemon juice until it forms a paste. Apply this to your face as you would a face mask and let it dry on your face before washing it off.
This method can also help you to reduce scarring from acne.
8) Relieve Bug Bites
Use a baking soda mask to relieve a bug bite. It helps to draw out fluids and soothe itching.
Mix baking soda and water into a paste and put the paste on your bites. Let it dry up before you wash it off.
