Motherly love is something that is immensely big, beautiful, and something that can even transcend animal species! Just ask this absolutely affectionate and adorable Golden Retriever who listens to the name Bailey.
Even though Bailey is actually a boy, you could definitely say that he has a ‘motherly heart’.
A group of baby rabbits even thought Bailey was their mom!
In fact, Bailey and the actual mommy rabbit were already the best of friends inside the home, a beautiful case of two unlikely best buds.
Bailey was extremely happy to learn that there would be a bunch of extra rabbits running around the house, and he couldn’t wait to take care of them and play around with the adorable furballs.
The Golden Retriever probably already knew that his rabbit buddy was expecting.
Apparently, he wasn’t really surprised that there suddenly were a lot more of them one day. He definitely didn’t mind at all, because they’re just all so adorable!
When he saw mommy rabbit cuddling along with her babies, Bailey wanted nothing more than to join in on the fun.
The first time that Bailey met the baby bunnies was absolutely magical, he was overjoyed and sniffed them for hours.
Before he approached them, however, he made sure to watch how their real mommy took care of them.
After all, he didn’t want to scare them off. In any case, Bailey is anything but a scary four-footer, he’s just so loving, affectionate, and gets along with just anyone.
In the video, we can even see the pooch giving mommy rabbit a lick and kiss on the forehead. If this isn’t a cuteness overload, we don’t know what is.
These rabbits also see him as their ‘mom’, which isn’t really surprising. After all, he was there for them the entire time!
The bond that all these animals have formed together is absolutely beautiful, and it looks like they’re one happy family.
Even though Bailey obviously couldn’t be their mommy, he definitely feels like he’s one of the parents! Judging by the smile on his face, we’re pretty sure he doesn’t mind at all.
Of course, raising children comes with a bunch of beautiful moments and memories. For example, the first time these bunnies were actually able to hop around at five days old, Bailey was shocked!
It also seemed like he was honored to witness it, and mommy rabbit and Bailey even hugged it out like proud parents.
Of course, the bunnies grew bigger, stronger, and faster, meaning that they could play around with Bailey more often and with more energy.
The adorable dog would always find time to play with his little kids!
Aside from being their favorite person to play around with, Bailey also very much acts as their protector, just like a parent would do.
Sometimes, the adorable little bunnies even cuddle underneath him for a nap, and Bailey also licks the bunnies clean when needed.
It’s obvious that any interaction between Bailey and the bunnies would make for some adorable footage.
Luckily, their human family managed to capture a few of their adventures and post them to YouTube for all of us to see.
Anything becomes a must-see when these furry friends are involved.
For example, in one of the videos, we see Bailey holding a bunch of carrots from the yard in his mouth to feed the bunnies.
It really can’t get much cuter than this.
