Ellie Goldstein is an 18-year-old girl from Essex, United Kingdom, and is already considered to be one of the rising stars in the fashion industry.

The young lady was recently featured in a beauty campaign promoting accessibility, inclusivity, and just being yourself. Her most recent and perhaps most important accomplishment is landing the cover of the highly-regarded Allure Magazine with a magnificent photoshoot that is called ‘The Beauty of Accessibility’.

You see, Ellie has Down Syndrome and has been struggling with that almost her entire life, but has now fully embraced who she is.

Furthermore, thanks to her efforts, the topic of inclusivity in the rather harsh fashion world is now something that’s talked about more often.

The beauty industry isn’t exactly known to be fully representative of our entire society. People with disabilities often feel hugely underrepresented, and that’s exactly something that Goldstein wants to tackle.

Ever since she was very young, Ellie wanted to be a famous person – and it looks like she’s definitely making a name for herself.

One of her recent photoshoots for Gucci Beauty in collaboration with Vogue Italia went viral on Instagram, as people praised the positive message these companies were spreading by promoting inclusivity.

The Gucci post was showered with positive and heartwarming comments.

“She has to have one of the sweetest faces I’ve ever seen,” one person commented.

“As a handicapped person, I’m so happy someone is finally representing us.” another wrote.

Ellie herself couldn’t believe it when the post went viral online, and the fact that the whole world could see it made it a very special moment for her.

“When I saw [my picture] on Gucci Beauty’s Instagram, I thought, Wow! Who is this? Is this me, or what?!” Ellie said in an interview with Allure. “My friends and family saw it. It felt very special to me.”

Ellie knew that she wanted to be famous after she started doing school plays.

Jack and the Beanstalk was her first play, and that’s when she realized that she wanted to keep doing this.

“When I was doing the play, it hit me,” she recalls. “I love to be seen.”

Her parents never stopped her from pursuing her dreams, and Ellie was able to study drama and dance.

Over the years, she made appearances in a bunch of different productions at the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Opera House, both quite prestigious locations to play at.

One day, her mom Yvonne also heard about a talent agency that specifically focussed on people with disabilities and people that were underrepresented, and she knew that this would be absolutely perfect for Ellie.

When this agency, Zebedee Management, first started in 2017, they put out casting calls for disabled people and received thousands of requests. Ellie was one of them, and that’s how she got started in the modeling business.

The Gucci Beauty campaign was her first popular shoot, and chances are Ellie Goldstein will be a name in the fashion industry that’ll pop up more often.

Zoe Proctor, one of the founders of the management company, can’t praise Ellie enough.

“She brings up everybody’s energy levels to a different kind of place. It’s just absolutely breathtaking and really quite moving to watch her in front of the camera.”

“I never get upset or sad. I’m always happy and bright and bubbly,” Ellie added. “…And a bit cheeky.”

It’s Ellie’s dream to work for a number of her favorite designer brands, and we’re pretty sure that she’s well on her way.

“Ten years from now, I want to be all over the world,” she concluded.

What a remarkable young lady and an absolutely beautiful message of inclusivity!
