10 photos only women under 5’2″ will understand

There are definitely good things about being short – you always have plenty of legroom and you get to be in the front row of every photo! (Ok, sometimes that second one isn’t such a blessing.)

But if you’re under 5’2″, you’ll quickly realize the world just isn’t made for you.

Here, just watch this and see what we mean:

See, you can’t reach anything, nothing fits properly, everyone thinks your head is an armrest…you get the picture.

And if you don’t get the picture, here are 10 that show you just how hard it is to be a short girl in the world today:

1. Grocery shopping is a sport

Need something on the top shelf at the store? Well, it’s time to get creative then, unless you want to be the damsel in distress.

(By the way, we don’t recommend climbing into a cart – they’re not very stable.)

2. Counter climber

At least when we’re at home we can climb on things with abandon.

But if you’re not in shape enough to climb up on the counter, let’s just say you have a lot less cabinet space to work with.

3. Pantless

As if shopping for jeans didn’t already suck, there are no pants built for short girls. None at all.

Sure, some brands make a “short,” but those are typically for people 5’3″ – 5’4″ and up. And if you’re not tiny enough to shop in the children’s section, well, good luck.

4. Dress blues

Did you say midi dress? Well, there’s no such thing for a short girl. Midi dresses go down to our ankles – and usually the most unflattering part so we don’t even look like we’re sporting a cute maxi dress.

5. Laundry gymnastics

Being found like this is the ultimate indignity.

No one wants to be doing laundry anyway, but for short folks, pulling the last of the clothing out of the top-loading washing machine requires actual aymnastics.

6. Winter problems

Ok, so no one enjoys scraping the frost off their windshields, but for short people, you’re just never even going to be able to reach the whole thing.

Then you have to budget time to let the car warm up to the ice just melts.

7. Maxi(mum) dress issues

Why do they only make maxi dresses for women who are 6 feet tall?
Sure, maybe we don’t mind feeling like we’re wearing a ballgown with a train, but have you ever tried to walk up and down some stairs in a dress that’s too long? Disaster.

8. Reflections

Good luck checking yourself out in the bathroom mirror if you’re short. You’re just going to have to assume you look great!

Most short girls hate when high-waisted pants come back into style. We’re always told they’ll make us look taller, but the truth is we have very little waist to work with!

We end up looking like a cranky, old grandpa!
