One of men’s love languages is love. “If she doesn’t respect who I am at my core, then how can she really want what is best for me?” Do you respect his mission and his ambition in life?

A man needs someone who respects him and doesn’t simply tolerate his wants and needs. If you’re “helping me” but constantly roll your eyes or contradict what he said, then he will want to distance himself from you. Know who he is and respect the person he is and the person he wants to become.

Men need to know they can trust their partner completely. Even if it’s unpleasant, he needs to know. Women communicate with words so use them to share your thoughts and feelings with him. Better to be straightforward than to go around the issue.

If there’s only one thing women need to remember, it’s that man does not like to be controlled or manipulated. They don’t want to be dictated and they definitely don’t want to be told that they need to change. Respect, remember?

But if there are things you want in a relationship, tell him so that he can figure out how to best provide them for you.

Men want women who are sure of themselves and who they are. They don’t want women who get the slightest bit jealous of the other women in his life. If you have these insecurities, it’s best to check where it’s coming from and what influenced them.

Men are still humans who make mistakes. Every human makes mistakes. When men make mistakes, they’d appreciate it if their partner can be more considerate and understanding. There’s no need to make the mistake bigger than it should be. It’s okay to mess up because even women mess up.

Support each other and learn from each other’s mistakes.

When you’re both adults, men expect maturity in their partner. This is especially true when you have fights. How do you handle your fights, like a child or a mature woman?

Try to find solutions instead of finding something to blame on him.

Did you know that men love to be pampered as well? We’re not talking about flowers or chocolates but simple gestures that you want to take care of them.

You could cook their favorite meal, massage their back or legs, or make sure their favorite beer is always stocked in the fridge.
