It’s that time of year again. We get to dress up in cute, creepy, and funny outfits while using the holiday as an excuse. If you need inspiration, take a look at these nail and makeup designs that are extra festive.
1) Once You Go Red And Black
There’s no going back after you find this color combo. It looks great on everyone and is as classy as you can get. The glitter only adds to the look and the spikers just scream “This Is Halloween!”
2) Don’t Forget Bats
Bats are one of the easiest and most festive creatures you can paint for Halloween. This design can follow your normal makeup routine. Just add a think layer of orange blush and black lips.
3) Don’t Even Try
If you’re feeling lazy but want to feel spoopy too, this is an amazing option. A little bit of white and a few dots of black are all you need for these cute little ghosts. You can even grab a sheet and go all the way.
4) Coraline Is Gorgeous
This Coraline is done so well, but anyone can do a Coraline if they try hard enough. The claw is a nice touch, but if all you have is blue hair dye and a button, you’re all set.
5) Let Your Inner Mermaid Out
Halloween costumes don’t have to be creepy or spooky. This lovely lady decided on becoming a siren (or mermaid if you prefer) and it worked out wonderfully. So much glam in one human.
6) The Cutest Mummies
These mummy nails are so cute! You can use medical tape or whatever fabric you have lying around. That’s all it takes! It’s an extra if you use glow in the dark polish for the eyes.
7) Porcelain Is Fragile
Although being a baby doll or china doll for Halloween isn’t anything new, this design is new. She’s been broken and she isn’t happy about it. This isn’t supposed to be scary, but it is eerie.
8) The Beholder
This design could be accomplished with any googly eyes. But if you want to get fancy, you can purchase eyes that are specifically designed to go on nails. The rest is self-explanatory.
9) No One’s Puppet
All you need to accomplish the puppet look is a little liner under your mouth. Shading is recommended and so are bright lips and eyes. Other than that, it’s all up to you, the master of puppets.
10) Opposite Of Cyclops
Without a mask, a cyclops costume isn’t easy to pull off. However, you can get by with a creature with multiple eyes with good makeup skills. She sure is a pretty Seven-Eyed Creature.
11) That Spider Though
These nails are blingy and fabulous! The best part is the jewel which can be used on nearly any type of nail. In this case, it was used as the body of a spider, which is perfect!
12) Matches The Hair
If you can do bold hair all the time, good for you. But most people can’t handle it, or their job won’t permit it. So Halloween is the only time you get to do fun things with your hair. Use those nail designs as an excuse.

13) Elsa Is Angry
This is what Elsa looks like when she gets enraged, apparently. She’s frozen herself but can still move, because she’s Elsa and she controls the ice. This is a great idea that both children and adults will enjoy.
14) Feeling The Colors
These colors are everything for Halloween. While most people go with orange and black, trying a unique purple and green design can set you apart. It can also inspire your whole costume.
15) Better Than Spider-Girl
This woman stepped it up with the spider game. Yes, those webs are glowing and yes, her wings on her eyes are perfectly in-sync with it. There are so many ways to go from here.
16) Halloween Bling
Whoever said Halloween couldn’t be pretty, bright, and feminine did not know what they were talking about. This concept art is absolutely stunning and could be executed by a professional easily.
17) She’s So Toxic
Although realistic zombies and monsters are impressive, there’s nothing quite like a cartooonish take. The bright colors and interesting contacts take things to another level. Plus, you don’t freak anyone out too bad.
18) Don’t Forget The Dead
During Halloween week, millions of people celebrate the Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos. They celebrate all that came before them. These nails are the perfect way to honor them.
19) Someone Was Dropped
While the previous porcelain doll was cute, this one is creepy. She looks like she was left in the forest for decades without being found. Now she’s back for revenge, but her owner is an adult.
20) Feeling Magical
These nails are dark, soothing, and magical. So many people love the good witch look and these are the perfect representation. They work all year but during Halloween, even more people will be seen sporting them.
21) Celebrate The Black Cat
Black cats should not be ignored anytime, but especially during Halloween. Use them as your inspiration with your favorite color as a background. Everyone loves cats, don’t they?
22) That’s How It Crumbles
This isn’t a crumbling statue but it sure looks like it is one. You can either do the whole face or do half of it, which is even creepier. Like, was she originally a statue or a human?
23) Not Such A Nightmare
These Nightmare Before Christmas nails are so inspiring! Who doesn’t love Jack and Sally? The two are the best couple of the Halloween season. These nails may not be easy to accomplish but they are so worth it.
24) They’re Altogether Spooky
These nails are so cute that you could paint your kid’s nails to match. When asked about their favorite Halloween movie to watch all year long, most people will say Addams Family.
25) Perfect Replica
Copycat costumes are known as cosplay and this one is done perfectly. She looks exactly like the cartoon and no one can convince me otherwise. Now let’s see her transform.
26) Show Us A Landscape
After a bit of practice, simple landscapes aren’t that difficult to accomplish. You don’t have to be exact because you’re not replicating anything. Add something in the foreground and the details are forgotten anyway.
27) Smashing Pumpkins
This pumpkin head is cute, pretty, and creepy. I’m not sure if it’s melting or if it was broken open and a human was found inside but the whole thing is amazing. Use this as your inspiration.
28) Try The Nude
Nude colors are often overlooked in Halloween nails, but they should not be ignored. Using them as a backdrop for bold designs keeps things balanced. Especially when you use a marble background like this.
29) Melting Cyborg
This melting cyborg is so well done that she almost had be convinced. Two different contact colors and two different faces. The melting on top is the most impressive by far.
30) Say It Three Times
Beetlejuice is so lovable that you can watch it all year round. However, there’s no time more perfect for Beetlejuice nails than Halloween. These nails are charming, professional, and adorable.
31) Old School Comics
Back in the day, all comics looked exactly like this, so this representation is perfect. She even has the tear and her nose rings somehow fit with the picture. This works great if you have a solid hair color.
32) Cat Got Your Tongue?
This tiger costume takes things to the next level. Not only is their tiger makeup amazing, but they are actually peeling too, which makes it look like they scratched their own face.
33) Creepy And Alluring
These nails are stunning! It isn’t easy to get this shadowing right but if you can, you’ll impressive everyone at the Halloween party. Even better if you find a way to elevate it.
34) Check Out Those Scales
This is a more basic, though just as lovely, mermaid look that anyone can pull off. Long lashes, bright colors, and lots of scales should do the trick. Remember to buy a gorgeous wig too!
35) No Smoke Machine Needed
Here we have nails that are doing the smoky look right. The bats are an amazing addition but we know the star here is the way they pulled off that smoke. Smoke machines are so Halloween!
