Trees were seen as physical and emotional sanctuaries long before #treesofinstagram was trending or the West caught onto the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing.”
Whether it’s the beauty of wild branches or a soothing floral canopy, trees genuinely make us feel better. After all, what better way to feel grounded than standing next to a 200-year-old stately tree?

Not only do they grow to be up to 80 feet high, but as they spring upwards, their outer bark peels off to expose green, orange, red, pink, and even blue inner bark.
Truly an amazing specimen!
