We’ve all heard the term “quiet quitting” to describe our jobs, where a person only does their job and doesn’t beyond necessary. It applies to makeup, too.

Because women have gotten so used to their makeup routines for decades, they believe these routines also work once you’ve reached the age of 50. Makeup rules become different when you reach the age of 50.

Using the same foundation you’ve always used

Let’s start with the obvious. Mature women’s skin changes after the big 5-0. Matte or pancake-y makeup no longer works for a mature woman’s skin. You need a foundation that will give you plenty of coverage, hydrate your skin, make your pores look smaller, and hide your wrinkles. Your old foundation might not do that for you. It’s better to stick to a foundation that’s formulated for mature skin.
