We don’t blame Tina Fey for not wanting to talk about the scar under her lip in interviews. She did tell the story in her book, and it’s horrific.

Women get so much scrutiny and Sharon Stone is no stranger to that.

The rumor was that Sheeran was at a dinner party with Princess Beatrice who was playing around with a sword and knighting her friend, singer James Blunt, when she accidentally caught Sheeran as she swung the sword back.

But later Blunt admitted they made the story up.

In reality, Sheeran had been drinking and somehow cut his own face with the sword. They haven’t discussed the details any further.

Jason Momoa somehow manages to make scars look sexy. But the way he got the scar on his eyebrow is anything but romantic.

It happened in 2008 at a Hollywood bar when a man attacked him with a broken pint glass. 140 stitches and some reconstructive surgery later, the small blemish is all that’s left.

His attacker was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Many people have no idea Kate Middleton has a scar in her hairline since it’s so easy to obscure.

And she got her scar much like the rest of us. When she was 3, she was playing tag with her brother and tripped and hit her head on the corner of a wall.

She needed stitches and, being a kid, she fell and opened them up again.

And it’s once again a typical story of childhood.

As a kid, she fell into a lake and hit her head on a rock.

“We were filming this video for YouTube and I had this stupid idea: ‘Guys! I can run through walls!’ I was supposed to run into a wall and fall down. But I smacked right into it and was gushing blood. I was taken on a helicopter to get surgery. I dig scars though,” he said about the incident.

When he was 15, Hill nearly had to have his arm amputated after sneaking out with a friend and goofing off by trying to do tricks in a car in the middle of the night.

He stuck his elbow out the passenger side window and it was crushed when the car flipped over.

He says the whole incident was an example of the way he acted out while his mom was battling cancer.

Ford got the scar on his chin in 1964 when he first moved to LA to pursue an acting career.

Working in a department store at the time, he was simply on his way to work when he tried to put his seatbelt on while driving and his fumbling led to him veering off the road and into a telephone pole.

In the process, his chin slammed on the steering wheel BEFORE he flew through the windshield.

Yikes!

While not technically visible unless she wants it to be, Amy Schumer has been open about the large scar she got as a result of her Cesarean section.

She hopes that by showing off the reality of the aftermath, women won’t feel ashamed of or insecure about their own.

Selena Gomez had a kidney transplant in 2017. At first, she was upset by what she considered a blemish, but she has since opened up about it as a mark of her strength,

“When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I’m proud of that,” she said in an Instagram post.

Princess Eugenie made a bold move on her wedding day.

Her backless dress revealed a scar few had known about.

The princess was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 12 and had surgeries to correct her curved back, leaving a scar running from the nape of her neck down her back.

She told an interviewer that her wedding dress was “a lovely way to honor the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this.”

He got his abdominal scar when he wrecked his motorcycle in Topanga Canyon. He was on a so-called ‘demon ride (having no headlights on at night) when he crashed into the side of a mountain. He was hospitalized with broken ribs and a ruptured spleen

Many people have surmised that singer Seal’s scars are the result of a traumatic injury.

But there was no accident. The scars on his face were caused by a battle with Discoid Lupus Erythematosus as a child.

DLE is a skin disease that causes inflammation, lesions, scarring, and permanent hair loss.

The normally flawless – and often Photoshopped – Kylie Jenner appeared on the cover of GQ a few years ago with a four-inch scar on her thigh.

She explained in an Instagram post not long after that she’s had it since she was a child:

Bean got his scar from someone who really knows how to flaunt one – Harrison Ford.

“My buddy lost control of my car going 80 mph. We flipped eight times. I got ejected out the window. The car landed and I was just laying like 50 feet from the car, unconscious, covered in blood,” he explained.

After a horrific car accident when she was just 14, Lakshmi had to be hospitalized for three weeks.

It shattered her arm, which required extensive surgery that left her with the 7-inch scar.

The actor has a scar on his left cheek as a result of a stunt he tried to pull when he was just 6 years old.

After her 2012 kidney transplant, actress Sarah Hyland was just happy to be alive.

The scar is left on her abdomen is of no consequence to her – and, in fact, she does nothing to hide it.

She uses it to spread awareness and give other organ recipients confidence.

The famous attack on Warhol in 1968 left him with quite a scar.

After he was shot, surgeons had to open his chest and massage his heart to get it to beat again.

But she simply calls it her “third eye” since it’s in the middle of her forehead.

Rhianna’s scars from her relationship with the abusive Chris Brown are mostly emotional.

But she does have one remaining physical scar on her upper lip.

She’s received lots of praise for not editing out scars on models’ faces in any of her Fenty cosmetics campaigns.

The late Luke Perry sported an eyebrow scar that somehow managed to make him look even more dreamy.

He said he got it as a kid when he ran into a soda machine at a bowling alley!

Now an actor and motivational speaker, the former Army infantryman sustained severe burns to over 34% of his body while serving in Iraq.

He now works with other burn survivors as well.

Brooke Burke-Charvet has come to terms with her scar because the surgery that caused it saved her life.

The Dancing with the Stars co-host has a scar on her next from thyroid cancer surgery.

The singer and actress has been open about her mental health battles and cutting disorder.

But she considers the marks battle wounds and has even gotten some tattoos to remind herself how far she’s come.

“I got attacked when I was six… by a Mastiff,” the actor said. “I… remember him lunging, being pulled away… and seeing him cock his head like he didn’t really understand what happened.”

Luckily, that didn’t give him a fear of dogs – just a reminder to be careful around them.
