Man abandons dog, tells shelter staff she was too affectionate

August 21st, 2019

Most people want to adopt dogs that are as affectionate as can be. But one man decided that he couldn’t cope with his animal giving him endless love.

When Jubilee got adopted at a very young age she thought that she was an incredibly lucky dog.

And to show her appreciation to her owner, she decided to try to stay by her owner’s side constantly.

And Jubilee did just that. But that was a problem. After a short while, the dog’s owner started to get annoyed with how clingy Jubilee was being.

He tried numerous things to get his own personal space from the dog, but Jubilee wouldn’t take the hint.

So one day, with a heavy heart, the man took Jubilee to the shelter and explained that the problem wasn’t that the animal was aggressive, it was that she would never want to leave his side.

To be fair, Jubilee did have a number of other problems. In the space of less than one year, Jubilee had chewed up his couch, baseboard, cushions and many other things. But this problem sounds like the owner being negligent and not training Jubilee properly more than anything.

So the shelter took Jubilee in and posted her sad story online. Thousands of people shared this story, bringing Jubilee to the attention of people across America.

In almost no time at all, the shelter had received hundreds of requests from people who wanted an overly affectionate dog. And who can blame them?

Eventually, the shelter volunteers sifted through the applications and found the perfect mommy for Jubilee. Her name was Samantha Fewox.

When Fewox picked up Jubilee, she found that the dog had lost none of her love in the time since she’d been abandoned.

The second that Jubilee walked into Fewox’s house, she felt at home.

Fewox’s son was waiting to meet this new family member. Jubilee ran right up to him and gave him a kiss.

Over the coming days, Jubilee would attach herself to these new owners, physically and mentally!

Most people have been shocked by the heartlessness of Jubilee’s original owner’s actions. But Fewox is glad that he did giver the dog up, because otherwise she would not have had Jubilee herself!

To be fair to the original owner, it can be difficult for someone to take on a dog with anxiety or separation issues.

Some dogs bark so loud when their owners are out of the home that it annoys the neighbors (especially if they live in an apartment building!)

But luckily, there are some people who are able to take on dogs like Jubilee, even if they are more work than the typical dog.

But one thing that really helps Jubilee with her anxiety is the fact that she now has two dog siblings. They’re both friendly animals and help her cope when Fewox and the rest of her family are out of the home.

And the really crazy thing is that Jubilee has no idea how adored she is.

As well as her human family and her canine siblings, Jubilee also has a Facebook page that has over 6,000 dedicated followers. Jubilee’s owners regularly post updates on what she and her siblings are up to.

Jubilee sure does seem to have a fantastic life!

He's home! He's home! He may have had fun at camp but I sure missed him!
