He might not be Beethoven, but I've definitely heard worse.

What if you go home one day and you notice that something is different in your home?

Katie Hawley, a 21-year-old college student, came home on the morning of May 31. Everything was fine at first. In fact, there was no sign that someone broke into her home. The door was still locked, there was no shattered window, but she was shocked when she saw her kitchen!

There, she saw that someone wreaked havoc in her hallway and kitchen.

Upon realizing what happened, the shocked Katie ran outside and called the cops. She reported what happened and asked them to come quickly.

She was terrified.

Soon, a cop came, and he looked inside the house. There, he said to Katie that the culprit wasn’t a person, but probably a bear.

Katie was a bit relieved. Bears are scary of course, but it could have been worse if it was a burglar or someone dangerous. To confirm their suspicion, Katie, along with the officer who responded, checked her CCTV.

It turned out that she had accidentally left her kitchen window open, and seeing the opportunity, a curious and hungry bear was able to push the window open, and there, he went inside.

The bear took his time as if he was already familiar with this house. In the security footage, it was seen that the bear took its time to look around the house.

He went to the coffee table, and he even looked outside the backyard.

Then, he noticed the piano, stood on his hind legs, and put his paws on the keys.

Ah, yes, it wasn’t exactly Canon in D that he played, but the sound that he created was very similar to the sound of suspense that we often hear in movies.

Surprisingly, the bear wasn’t shocked by the “music” that he created; in fact, he stood there in silence, as if trying to think if he would play more.

Most bears would probably be scared by this but not this black bear.

According to the report, the fluffy black bear saw his target – the kitchen. There, the hungry bear opened the refrigerator and the freezer drawer.

He knew what he wanted. He was able to eat a big bag of frozen strawberries and bananas, leaving traces of slime all over the carpet.

Then, he overturned a box of flour (not too tasty) but drank a whole bottle of pancake syrup! Yum! He also found a Costco-sized sack of chocolate bark where he indulged in creamy chocolate.

He’s also very smart because he was able to use his paws to open a jar of peanut butter.

This bear enjoyed his lunch!

“That was the crazy thing,” Hawley said to The Washington Post. “He twisted the lid and opened it himself.”

According to experts, bears are very intelligent creatures. In fact, they would do just about anything when it comes to food. In this case, breaking and entering. Aside from that, bears have sharp memories as well.

To prove this, Katie shared that her piano-playing guest returned to her home, but the cops were able to shoo him away.

According to the young lady, she often sees this black bear roaming around her house, even trying to pound the window where he got in the first time.

Don’t worry, Katie learned her lesson and makes sure that her windows and doors are always closed. She was actually very lucky that it was only a bear that entered her home when she was not around. What if she was inside or worse, a bad guy was the one who discovered her unlocked window?

“I think the bear is very cute,” she ended her interview. “But it just scares me he was in the house.”
